“Thank you so much for choosing me as this year’s $5,000 scholarship recipient! I am honored to receive such a generous amount of money that will help an incredible amount with next semester’s tuition. Today, 11/21/25, would have been my father’s 51st birthday, and receiving this scholarship on a day like this is truly a blessing. My parents are the biggest Patriots fans I know, as well as the proudest alumni of Saint Bernard’s High School, and with the help of this scholarship, I am working hard to achieve my goal of having a career in dental to make my parents and all of my loved ones proud of me. Thank you again for selecting me to be a recipient of this amazing scholarship, what your team does is truly incredible, and I am deeply grateful.” -Annalisa

“As I navigate through my senior year, I’m excited to share a brief update on how things have been going so far. Every day presents me with new opportunities for growth, both personally and academically. I’m currently working at a dental office, which has exposed me to the medical/dental side of the business world. Although it has been challenging to manage work and school at times, it’s been rewarding to learn about this side of the business field. The senior year curriculum focuses on complex concepts in management and strategy, which has taught me to think critically and creatively in solving real-world business problems. The courses I’m taking this quarter are management strategy, business technology, global tourism, legal aspects of entrepreneurship, and social media analytics. One of the highlights of this year has been the chance to work closely with my peers on various group projects and case studies. Collaborating with individuals from diverse perspectives has broadened my understanding of business dynamics and helped me work on my teamwork and leadership skills. I’ve also been fortunate to experience many guest lectures organized by my professors, especially in my entrepreneurial law class. As I approach the final stretch of my undergraduate journey, I’m filled with a lot of anticipation and optimism for what lies ahead. While there will be challenges, I’m confident that the education and experiences gained during my senior year will equip me with the tools and confidence needed to succeed. Thank you for accompanying me on this journey, and I look forward to sharing more updates as the year progresses.” -Monica

Monica Krol

Monica’s favorite quote, the one she lives by, is “Everything happens for a reason.” Originally from Arlington Heights, Illinois, Monica attended Rolling Meadows High School. After her father passed away when she was 15-years-old, she began working to help support her mom and younger brother. She is now a first-generation college student, having attended community college after high school and then DePaul University to further her education in pursuit of her academic and career goals, including a future career in business. As a life-long hard worker, Monica knows that she can get through anything life throws at her and that she will go on to accomplish great things.
“I just want to express how grateful I am to be receiving this scholarship. This will tremendously help me get to where I want to be in the future. Nobody has ever helped me like this. I’m so excited to accomplish my goals and this will allow me to do so with less worry about my financial situation. I hope I will one day get to the point where I can give back to those who are in the same situation as me. All of you are truly inspiring and it is amazing what you are doing. I still can’t believe that you have chosen me. I want to express how thankful I am. You made me feel like I’m not alone in this and that life does get better. Everything happens for a reason. Once again, thank you so so much.”
